About the Tour
The Prague Gems tour is a unique opportunity to see both the gems and hidden gems of Prague and also to stay in a true architectural and historical gem.
We have arranged this exclusive holiday to give our travellers an extraordinary experience in Prague, the golden city of Gothic cathedrals, Baroque palaces, colorful Art Nouveau buildings and ancient hideaways. We will take you on both evening and day time tours so you can see its magic and splendor in different lights. We will also show you some of Prague’s secret treasures hidden down narrow lanes and behind the stone walls of old houses and palaces.
In the late afternoon and evenings, we will go inside to embrace the coziness of winter to enjoy a private concert and to participate in a Czech culinary course with a renowned chef. Our beautiful hotel will provide you comfort and luxury, allowing you to step aside from the city and to relax in its heavenly spa or in one of the many beautifully restored rooms dating back to the 14th century.
Wednesday 28. november
Upon arrival at the hotel, you will receive a welcome drink in the stunning Refectory Bar followed by a welcome dinner.
After dinner, we will give you an introduction to the city by taking a walking tour around the most picturesque areas where you will see Prague’s most famous “gems“ all lit up, including Old Town Square, the Charles Bridge, Merchant’s Square and the impressive embankment with its commanding buildings. You will feel that you stepped into another century!
- Dinner included.
Thursday 29. november
We will begin our day at Vysehrad, where Prague was first settled over 1000 years ago. The Vysehrad complex consists of a fortress, royal residence, churches and many mysterious legends. Sitting atop dramatic cliffs, it offers stunning views of Prague, the Vltava and the Bohemian countryside. In the morning light, we can take beautiful photographs of the vista before walking down to the river and enjoying a tram ride towards the castle district.
Before touring the castle grounds, we will meander through the cobblestone streets of the most charming neighborhood in Prague located just below the castle. There are many cozy bistros and cafes where can we can relax and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we will walk through the hidden passages and lanes of Prague castle as well as admire the interiors of St. Vitus cathedral, the Old Royal Palace and St. George’s Basilica.
The Castle‘s Christmas markets will have just opened for the holiday season so we can enjoy the festive old-world holiday spirit that Prague is well-known for. As the sun begins to set, we will return to our hotel for our private Czech culinary course with the renowned chef of the Hotel Augustine. To complete this magical day in Prague, we will savor the meal we prepared together and share our reflections from the day.
- Breakfast and dinner included. Lunch not included.
Friday 30. november
After a very active 1.5 days, we will give you time to explore on your own. You can go shopping, visit other sights or relax in the hotel spa.
We will provide you with many suggestions and tips depending on your specific interests such as walking routes of the cobblestoned lanes, list of the best Czech designer boutiques, highlights of Baroque or Art Nouveau art and more. If you prefer to stay at the hotel, you can use this time to relax at the spa (access to wellness center is included) or have a massage treatment if you wish (let us know in advance to arrange the appointment).
In the afternoon, we will convene at 15 o'clock to participate in a private tour of the Augustinian monastery and the Church of St.Tomas, which is part of the Augustine Hotel.
- Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner not included.
Saturday 1. december
Today, we will venture to an attractive and modern district along the river and go on a food tour. With its beautifully restored turn-of-the-century buildings and award-winning modern architecture, this quaint neighborhood mixes the old and new with a bohemian atmosphere to create a unique flavor.
During the tour, we also can begin to really enjoy the Christmas festivities at a local Advent market. We will taste traditional candy and meals, admire the crafts, shop for decorations or gifts and observe traditional foods being made.
After enjoying lots of food and drink, we can relax at a private Advent concert in the Augustinian Monastery. If you would like to enjoy a light meal after the concert, we will give you a recommendation on where you can eat well.
- Breakfast included. Lunch - food tasting included in the food tour. Dinner not included.
Sunday 2. december
Its time to pack up your suitcase and souveniers, check out and enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the Augustine hotel until check-out at noon. If you have a late flight, you can still enjoy the wellness and spa facilities or continue to explore Prague for the day. We would be happy to offer you suggestions and recommendations for the day.

Wednesday 28. november - Sunday 2. december
The Augustine Hotel is a very special property in Prague and we are fortunate to have arranged a special package (rooms, tours, concerts) for Manao guests. The Augustine located just below the Prague castle gardens is comprised of several beautiful, historic buildings, including a working monastery. Designed by Olga Polizzi, there are 101 guest rooms, including 16 suites, overlooking private courtyards, the monastery chapel, or nearby Prague Castle. The rooms are various shapes and sizes due to the historic nature of the building, and they reflect the original monks’ cells with its wooden flooring and the St Augustine colour palettes. After a long day of sightseeing, the gorgeously decked out Augustine Restaurant located in the glass-covered courtyard is just the perfect place to relax and reflect. The restaurant offers a modern European menu including local Czech specialties influenced by flavors and recipes from discovered in the historical Augustinian journals and designed by MasterChef judge and celebrity Chef, Marek Fichtner.
We advise purchasing tickets at least 9-8 weeks before deparature. We will propose a suitable flight when booking.
